A Chance Encounter at a London Train Station: Pianist’s Epic Duet with a Stranger

A woman approached a pianist who was playing on a public piano at a train station in London. She asked him if he knew a music pit called “Summer” by an Italian composer named Antonio Vivaldi.

In the “Presto” (which means super-fast) part of the song “Summer,” Vivaldi uses music to tell a story about a shepherd and his flock getting caught in a sudden summer rainstorm.

The pianist, Aurélien Froissart, was excited about the challenge. He said, “This girl’s request turned out to be the best duet I’ve ever played.”

The video of their performance has gotten over 73 million views on TikTok!
