This British Cottage is Over 500 Years Old, Yet Its Interior Looks Incredible

Have you ever thought about the possibility of moving to the woods and living in harmony with nature and tranquility, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city? I can admit that similar thoughts have crossed my mind.

Of course, it’s easy to dream about such things, but turning dreams into reality is not always easy. I’m sure I’m not the only person in this situation. Perhaps I just find it difficult to make that decision.

However, I can confidently say that my determination has increased after seeing this incredible place…

Hidden amidst the lush greenery of the Molvern Hills in the United Kingdom, there is a charming cottage. From the outside, the house appears to be a forgotten relic of the past. The impressive building, completely overgrown with ivy and hidden beneath the tree branches, blends in with nature.

The old wooden door gives no hint of the stunning interior hidden within.

But one look inside this dwelling will prove it to be true…

Wishbone is a tall cottage constructed of sturdy wood, stone walls, and sloping ceilings.

The bright walls give the living room a spacious atmosphere, and the open floor plan connects it with the cozy kitchen.

Isn’t it charming?

The kitchen is not large, but it has all the necessary amenities: a modern stove, refrigerator, small freezer, dishwasher, and microwave. There is also a small washing machine next to the dining area.

The original stone flooring leads from the dining area to a cozy bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.

The bedroom, hidden behind thick curtains, boasts a king-size bed with modern furnishings and a simple color scheme. There is a small heater next to the bed, so guests need not worry if the temperature drops outside.

Despite being over 500 years old, this home has everything you need… just take a look at this bathroom!

The cottage combines rural aesthetics with modern design. If you stay there, you will undoubtedly feel the blending of the past and the present.

The upper floor has been converted into a beautiful, fully furnished loft. It used to store hay long ago.

I can confidently say that it is the perfect place for an afternoon nap. You will easily fall asleep to the birds’ singing and the rustling of leaves in the wind…

However, the most appealing part of Wishbone Cottage is undoubtedly its inner courtyard, located just behind the living room.

Pale blue doors lead to a cozy courtyard with a dining table, pleasant lighting, and terracotta flower pots.

Enjoy breakfast or lunch outdoors with a view of the hills. Or perhaps you prefer a glass of wine by the fireplace?

This cottage is usually rented out, and guests who have stayed there describe it as charming, cozy, and the best cottage they have ever lived in.

The surrounding area invites you to take walks, or…

You can explore several scenic walking trails that pass through untouched rural landscapes. Alternatively, you can go canoeing downstream on the River Wye.

What an amazing place! I would love to stay here for a few weeks.

I hope you also liked Wishbone Cottage as much as I did! Please share this article with your friends on Facebook, as someone among them might want to spend their unforgettable vacation there!
