Former singer Claire Cossey, who established her own estate agency in 2020, has created a unique and entertaining music video to promote a house listing on Rightmove. The video showcases a five-bedroom property located in Hockfille, near Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, with an asking price of £700,000. Cossey’s creative effort involves a parody of “The NeverEnding Story” movie, renamed as “The Never-Ending Property.”
In the video, Cossey sings and provides a musical tour of the house, highlighting its various features. She starts with the living room, showcasing the beams and mentioning the installed air source heat pump and solar panels. The video proceeds to display a dog grooming room, dining room, and a well-appointed kitchen with white and golden furnishings. Moving to the first floor, Cossey emphasizes the property’s suitability for families with teenage children, mentioning the availability of individual Netflix viewing options. She also showcases two bedrooms with attached bathrooms and a master bedroom, while clarifying that the house is situated near a road.
The video does not neglect the property’s exterior, as Cossey highlights the beautiful garden with blooming flowers and encourages outdoor enjoyment when the weather permits. The video concludes with the real estate agent expressing her appreciation for the garden’s aesthetics. Cossey not only filmed the video but also reportedly wrote the original song, creating her own version of Limahl’s 1984 song, “NeverEnding Story.”
Although the video was recorded in November of the previous year, it gained popularity a few months ago when house prices reduced. Cossey, who is not active on social media, found the attention overwhelming but acknowledged that the video’s virality has certainly increased visibility for the house.
Cossey has a passion for performing and has created similar videos for other house listings. However, she did not anticipate that the “The Never Ending Property” music video would resonate particularly well with the Hockcliffe house. The property is currently utilized by a small business named Hockcliffe Happy Hounds, with one room converted into a dog grooming parlor.
According to the Just Knock website, Cossey initially started her estate agency in 2015 to support her singing career but eventually fell in love with the real estate profession. Dissatisfied with certain aspects of the sales process, she founded Just-Knock with her partner Tony in 2020, aiming to provide better options for people selling their homes.
