Megan Danielle, a participant on American Idol, showcased her extraordinary vocal abilities and immense musical talent to pay tribute to her late grandfather. With the competition narrowing down to only eight performers, the remaining contestants must step up their game in order to secure enough votes and become the next American Idol.
Throughout her journey on the American Idol stage, Megan Danielle has consistently improved her confidence, singing prowess, and stage presence since her initial audition. In addition to her personal growth, she has utilized her voice to sing songs of praise to the Lord.
In her most recent performance, Megan chose to sing Vince Gill’s “Go Rest High on that Mountain” as a way to honor her beloved grandfather, who had been a source of encouragement for her musical aspirations. After delivering the song, Megan took to Instagram to express her feelings, stating that it was one of her most challenging performances but a meaningful way to honor her late grandfather.
Megan once again delivered an outstanding performance that resonated with the audience. Her country/Christian music style and heartfelt rendition of the song’s touching lyrics were a perfect match. The crowd erupted with joy within seconds of her performance, with several members of the studio shouting and cheering for the beautiful sounds emanating from the stage.
At the end of her performance, there was a well-deserved and thunderous round of applause from everyone in the room, including the judges. It is truly remarkable how Megan managed to maintain her composure throughout the song without breaking down in tears, considering that she had previously sung “Go Rest High on that Mountain” at her grandfather’s funeral.
