Kelly Clarkson  won the “American Idol” competition and got famous in 2002.  With songs like “Since U Been Gone” and “My Life Would Suck Without You,” she has become one of the most famous pop stars in the United States. Clarkson has also played in movies and TV shows, and she has her own talk show called “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”

Clarkson tied the knot with Brandon Blackstock in 2013 and the couple went on to have two children together. However, the couple divorced in June of 2020, and the court granted Clarkson primary custody of their children. She has been open about the challenges of parenting her daughter, who has dyslexia.

In April 2023, star Henry Winkler came on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” to talk about his new book, “Being Henry,” which is about his life and how dyslexia has affected him. Winkler has been open about having dyslexia. He talked about his new book, in which he talks about the problems he has had because of dyslexia and his career after “Happy Days.”

According to Mayo Clinic, dyslexia is a “learning disorder that involves difficulty reading due to problems identifying speech sounds and learning how they relate to letters and words.” Winkler didn’t find out he was dyslexic until he was in his 30s. He grew up in a family that put a lot of value on education. In spite of having a learning difficulties, he finally found success as a novelist and actor.

Since then, Winkler has made it his mission to raise public awareness about dyslexia, and he has served as a source of motivation for a great number of children who deal with the condition, including his stepson and daughter. His stepson, Jed Weitzman, said that he always felt like a full part of the family, and like Winkler, he also suffers from dyslexia. Winkler’s daughter, Zoe Winkler, also has dyslexia and decided to become a teacher in order to support other people who feel “stupid.”

Clarkson’s dyslexic daughter was being teased at school because she couldn’t read like the other students, and Winkler offered advise to Clarkson on how to encourage her. He told her that “how you learn has nothing to do with how brilliant you are,” a message that touched Clarkson and moved her to tears.

After her divorce from Blackstock, Clarkson has also discussed the difficulties she has had raising her children. She has a routine with her kids where she asks them how they are feeling and what would make them happier. She does this because she knows how hard it is for them to grow up in a divorced family. Despite these challenges, Clarkson has remained a beloved figure in the entertainment industry due to her talent, personality, and resilience.
