Animals and humans have many differences, but it’s also hard to ignore how much they also have in common. The capacity to feel sadness and joy is one similarity between the two. Animals occasionally engage in behavior that makes us realize just how similar to humans they really are.

The heartbreaking reunion of two elephants who once performed in a circus and were separated for 22 years was seen on camera, and it will move even the hardiest hearts to tears.
The video was captured at an animal refuge in Tennessee. When Jenny and Shirley finally recognize one another after living apart for the previous 20 years, it is truly a sight to behold.
The poignant reunion serves as a reminder that these creatures have feelings just like people do.
The animal keepers had the same level of emotion when seeing the reunion. They eagerly anticipated seeing how the elephants interacted with one another through the gates.
After a short while, it was clear the elephants knew one other. You could cry watching the following segment of the video.
