Since 2008, Rocky Carroll has played Leon Vance on NCIS. The versatile actor has worked in every film and television genre you can imagine. The 58-year-old actor is well known for his work in Chicago Hope, in addition to NCIS.

Rocky Carroll was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on July 8, 1963. It appeared as a child that he was meant to become an actor. But he claimed that his decision to pursue a career in the industry was primarily influenced by his upbringing.
A particular performing arts school, similar to the performing arts schools in New York, was established in Ohio by the Board of Education in 1974. It was close to Carroll’s school and accessible on foot.
“You’re a class clown,’ the art teacher at the elementary school I was already attending stated. You’re always in hot water for being annoying. I walked in and received my education from grade 6 to the rest of it, literally, that is how it happened, he said.
Carroll spent 1981 studying at Ohio’s esteemed School for Creative and Performing Arts. He wanted to study and develop as an actor at the age of 18. Carroll relocated to St. Louis in order to enroll at Webster University’s The Conservatory of Theatre Arts, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
Rocky Carroll made the same decision as many other aspiring actors and moved to the east coast and New York City to pursue his acting career. But he was infatuated with the theater, unlike many who immigrated to “The Big Apple” and worked in commercials, modeling, or other fields before landing their first roles.
He made his Broadway debut in The Piano Lesson in 1990, and the same year, he was nominated for a Tony Award.
“A preferred role. We’ll see. Since I’ve completed so many of them, none of the significant ones. My favorite role in Romeo and Juliet would probably be Mercutio. I’ve never played it, but I’d really like to,” he said.
Rocky Carroll was a trained actor with a strong background in theater. But when examining his career, it is safe to state that he has distinguished himself as an actor, in contrast to many others, with credits for a wide variety of roles.

Rocky Carroll and Mark Harmon reconnected when the Ohio native was cast as Leon Vance on NCIS in 2008. Since then, the actor has been a regular on the program.
The main star of the program has always been Mark Harmon. It became one of the most watched shows with Pauley Perrette, Sean Murray, David McCallum, and other actors. Additionally, it doesn’t appear like much can be done to prevent its shutdown any time soon.

Rocky Carroll told CBS that despite being the head of the organization, Vance gradually integrates into the group. “With regard to that, the writers offered me a lot of latitude. Prior to that, having a relationship with [Harmon] was quite beneficial. Going back and forth is fun for us.
Carroll proceeded to laud Harmon in an interview with Huffington Post, calling him the “ideal collaborator” and a “quarterback” due to his ability to switch between different roles on screen.
“Collaborative efforts are the reason that successful TV shows and movies exist. Competition, in my opinion, is the death knell for everything. In Hollywood, especially,” Carroll added. “It’s generally the beginning of the end when actors are competing with each other or when directors are competing with performers. And due of the outstanding teamwork, this show has lasted for six seasons and is now performing better. The actors got along well.
He said, “They get along.” I’ve worked on programs where the actors avoid interacting with one another and instead communicate with one another via the director. What sort of life is this? We are in a relationship if I have to spend 14 hours a day with that person. It’s best if we discuss it. It simply boggles my head.
Rocky Carroll’s role in one of NCIS Hawaii’s episodes in 2022 marked a new development in the NCIS universe.
Vance also made eleven episodes of NCIS Los Angeles between 2009 and 2014. If he appears in other episodes of the offshoot shows, only time will tell. But as of right now, nothing suggests that he will depart, much to the delight of his admirers.
Carroll has managed to fit in other projects despite the fact that NCIS and the rest of the actors occupy a lot of his time. He provided several voices for several Superman animated movies as well as the 2009 movie Yes Man, in which he co-starred with Jim Carrey.

Due to her exceptional skill for drawing, she attended the Laguardia High School of Music & Arts and Performing Arts in New York City. Later on though, she changed to architecture. She was appointed director of global diversity at the Los Angeles office of the renowned architecture and design company Perkins+Will.
She is also a true pioneer because, according to an interview from 2017, Gabrielle is one of the 404 African American women who are certified architects in the United States.
Rocky Carroll stated to People in 2009, “Director Vance doesn’t have as much influence on my wife.” 13 years have passed since my marriage. What matters is that I feed the dog and that the trash is emptied.
His wife Gabrielle admitted to the LA Times that she is an organizer and that in her spare time she enjoys reading, listening to music, and organizing the home. It’s a mixed blessing and curse, but I like doing it.
Gabrielle Bullock is a very successful professional, but her husband receives far more online attention.
