Weddings are joyful and filled with love. They honor love, hope, dreams, and other things. At weddings, friends and family gather to support the happy couple and to wish them much success and love in the future. It doesn’t always have to be a serious day, even though it could begin that way.
On their special day, this particular couple was set to experience a true pleasure. The best they could do was plan everything. Plans do not always materialize, though! As their young flower girl was set to walk down the aisle, they were about to witness what would happen when she started to feel uneasy.
The bridesmaid was prepared to go. She was wearing a stunning white gown, tights, and shoes that matched. She had rose petals piled high in her silver basket. She appeared to be there already—or was she?
You could see the young girl getting tense as her song started. At the start of the aisle, she paused and looked to her mother for assurance. She moved a little distance forward in the aisle after receiving a gentle push from her mother.
She quickly turned timid, nevertheless, and sought solace from her mother.
The flower girl’s mother prompted her once more and steered her back down the aisle. But she was having none of it! Dad then felt it was time to intervene and offer his assistance.
The flower girl was escorted down the aisle by a groomsman who took her hand and gently guided her. This resolved the problem, however there was still a problem. She wasn’t launching her petals like she had practiced! The father chuckled and made the decision to do it himself when he saw that she wasn’t carrying out her “duty.”
When this adult man proceeded to scatter a few petals here and there, his friends and family roared with laughter. He had assumed the role of the flower girl himself and come to the rescue.
Certainly not what the bride and groom had in mind when they were making plans for their special day. They still enjoyed watching every second of it, though. The best memories are sometimes created during the unexpected situations.
