“Kids say the darnedest things,” goes an old saying. Hilary Duff recently served as living proof that the proverb isn’t entirely inaccurate. The How I Met Your Father actress shared a startling (but amusing) text message she got from one of her 3-year-old daughter Banks’ soccer camp instructors on Instagram.
On Monday, Hilary told her admirers the amusing tale.
“Whoaaa! Be wary of your children “She added a caption to a screenshot of Banks’ soccer camp coach’s message. “My mom made poor chicken and now she has diarrhea… that’s what happens when you make awful chicken,” Banks recounted a narrative at camp, according to the text.
Hilary, though, appeared to be unfazed by the entire embarrassing situation.
Hilary responded by gently making fun of her daughter rather than being offended or ashamed.
She adopted a different approach after realizing that her child had revealed to outsiders what they were doing in the restroom than most people would have. The words “the rat” were overlaid over a joyful picture of her daughter on the following slide, which she posted.
Hilary has probably been embarrassed by one of her children before.
The former Lizzie McGuire star is a joyful mother of three kids. She and her husband Matthew Koma also have a 1-year-old daughter named Mae in addition to Banks. She and her ex-husband, Mike Comrie, share a kid named Luca, who is 10 years old.
It’s incredibly difficult for us to think that Luca never pulled off anything similar when he was a child. Kids actually do say the darndest things, especially about their parents, so it’s not because Luca has a history of embarrassing his mother that this is a concern.
Maybe Hilary will think twice about having more kids after all.
She suggested to Romper in February that she might have additional young children in the future. She acknowledged that she and her husband were already worn out from having children and added, “I know it’s psychotic. “But I adore having Matt as a child. My life’s work has been to be a decent father.”
While Banks was away at camp, we wonder what else she said about her mother.
They didn’t reveal if Banks revealed any further family secrets while she was with her soccer instructors. Having said that, we have a suspicion that Hilary and Banks had a lengthy conversation about what topics are appropriate for casual conversation and what information should be kept private.
