The internet is going bonkers over this video of a baby and a dog arguing.
There is no doubt that dogs are excellent communicators. They have developed from the pack-oriented wolves and can communicate with each other through a range of howls and barks.
Dogs have developed this inclination that they inherited in order to communicate with humans. We just naturally understand how to read one other’s body language.
A dog understands you by listening to the tone of your speech and observing your facial expressions.
When a baby starts to cry, the dog will frequently come, act concerned, and calm the child by giving them a few puppy kisses.
However, this baby’s cries actually irritate her dog.
The two engage in a ridiculous back-and-forth as the puppy protests with her cries. We’re not entirely sure if he’s worried or just irritated! But it’s definitely funny.
Their mother was able to record the interaction because she had her phone close by. They argue with each other back and forth for a while. The dog howls in response to the baby’s first scream.
While the infant may not understand what is happening, the dog probably does.
He may be requesting that she keep quiet or only reacting to her cries, which to him may seem like howling.
