People have seen some want tobe stars on Britain’s Got Talent who went on to become famous and whose faces are still known today.
Maia Gough, a musician from South Wales, was one of the youngest people to try out for the top British show.
She was only 12 when she went on the show, but her voice sounded almost like that of a professional female singer.
The host told her right before she went on stage to “enjoy” and “have fun,” which is exactly what the young girl did.
She performed in front of the judges, and even though she looked nervous, it was clear that she was determined to make a good impression on them.
When the judge, David Williams, asks who is there to support her, she makes everyone laugh by saying that almost all of her family has come to the show to cheer her on.
By then, Maia had calmed down enough to be ready to use her beautiful voice to wow the crowd.
When asked who her favorite singer is, she says that it’s Whitney Houston and that she had prepared a Whitney Houston song for that audition.
The song starts when everyone stops talking.
From the first words of Whitney’s hit song “I Have Nothing,” it’s clear that she’s a shining star.
The judges love her voice, and they can’t believe that she can sing so well for being so young.
While this is going on, the girl’s family backstage can’t believe how well she’s doing on stage and are about to cry.
When the song is over, Simon Cowell can’t help but stand up and cheer for her, and Maia looks like she couldn’t be happier. In fact, everyone else stands up as well.
The girl made it to the Semi-Finals, where she sang “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength” by Whitney Houston, even though she had tonsillitis.
“You have tonsillitis and choose to sing one of Whitney Houston’s hardest songs. Cowell said at the time, “That takes guts, and it worked.” David said, “You made everyone in Wales proud.” Everyone is probably pulling for you.”
The judges were speechless again after Maia’s performance, but she didn’t get enough votes to make it to the finals. She never stopped singing, though.
Since then, she has kept working on her singing skills. She is now in her second year at the Urdang performing arts school in London.
Maia also has a YouTube channel where she posts covers of well-known songs.
She also has an Instagram account where she shares news with her followers, like when she told them she was engaged last year.
The talented girl, who is now a woman, might still impress us in the future, just like she did when she was younger.
