On the Nyos River, a golden retriever mix named Rosie was discovered and sent to rescue another golden retriever. Katie and John Black, shelter elders, began caring for their future mother because she was pregnant and ready to give birth.
Because of crossbreeding, the puppies may look different from their mothers, but it was a surprise when Rosie started giving birth. Her four children bear little resemblance to her. In fact, they resembled miniature cows!
Daisy, Clarabel, Betsy, and Moe were given their names because of the black and brown spots on their fur.
That didn’t stop Rosie from adoring them to the fullest! Today, they are all those who will always adore houses, thanks to Katie and John’s efforts in providing the homeless with a golden opportunity in the form of a retriever.
