Pictures of Harry and Meghan’s youngest child Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor have sparked a lot of discussion on the internet!
Lili, as she is affectionately known, was born on June 4, 2021, in a Santa Barbara, California hospital. She appears to be a healthy and happy baby. And she only met her father’s family for the first time a week ago!
She met her namesake great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth, whom her father, King George VI, lovingly called ‘Lilibet.’ People wondered if the Queen had authorized the couple’s name because their relationship appeared to be failing after Harry and Meghan relinquished their royal titles and perks. However, sources claim that the Queen has given the pair permission to proceed.
According to insiders, the pair was enthusiastic about the name as a method to mend the family’s growing split with the matriarch. “Prior to the announcement, the Duke spoke with his family. In fact, his grandma was the first relative he contacted, according to the source.
The photographs depict a happy toddler smiling at the camera. The birthday party was allegedly attended by intimate friends and family. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were also invited but were unable to attend.
The couple shared photos of their adored daughter Lili during her first birthday party at Frogmore Cottage in between the Jubilee celebrations.
Misan Harriman, a photographer, captured the royal family’s newest member. Meghan’s pregnancy shoot, when she was expecting Lili, was done by the same photographer.
People are now divided over who Lili looks most like! Some believe she is a pale imitation of her father, Prince Harry, who, like her, is a redhead.
Others believe she looks like her grandma and namesake Diana.
Then there were many who noticed a striking resemblance between Lilibet and her mother’s half-brother, her uncle Tom. Tom is also a redhead, just like his niece.
Others, on the other hand, disagreed, claiming that she resembled her mother.
It’s worth mentioning that Archie and Lili both have red hair. Because red hair is recessive and carried in the MCR1 gene, both parents must have it for it to be expressed.
Meghan, it appears, carries the gene as well. This makes sense, given that her half-brother is also a redhead.
Given that they gave up their titles and rights to relocate to the United States, there was a lot of discussion about whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would be a part of the royal celebrations for the Queen’s Jubilee. The spouse and their children, on the other hand, were of course invited.
