Residents at a treatment center had a heartwarming reaction after being visited by a lovely bunch of Pomeranian and British bulldogs.
The residents of Romford Grange Care can be seen admiring, touching the tiny puppies, and having their noses licked in return in the video.
Larry Cooley, the owner of The Bully Ranch, organized the visit as part of the “Bully Ranch to you” project, which took place last month.
She organized the trip to lift the spirits of the people at the care facility, and it is a personal mission for him.
“Having been raised in the East End of London by my nan and grandad, I have always had the utmost respect for the elderly, always helping out with bags and doing what I could to contribute,” he said.
“Puppies and dogs have incredible benefits, including lowering anxiety, assisting with depression, tension, and loneliness, as well as reducing physical pain.”
Loneliness was a major issue in their efforts to combat the pandemic’s impact on the elderly.
“From the time we walked into the care home, there were smiles all around,” he continued. I must say, it was a very pleasant vibe.
“It was difficult not to observe that the elderly were severely impacted by the pandemic, with no visits from relatives and friends and a drastic shift in temperature.
“The residents in the care home had a difficult two years, but when we told them we were going to visit on Wednesday, they were ecstatic and kept asking where we were.”
