Although talent may be developed and honed, there are many youngsters who are born with it. A wonderful illustration of this is this ten-year-old girl’s audition for Britain’s Got Talent.
It was always Souparnika Nair’s ambition to perform on the world’s most prominent and popular stage, the BGT one.
Her floral clothing and purple flower in her right ear caught the attention of the judges and audience alike, and she had yet to begin singing when they became charmed.
All the people in the room were awestruck by her adorableness and eager to see what she would do.
When she began to sing, you could sense she was a little hesitant, but that quickly dissipated.
During the audition, things didn’t go as planned. Judy Garland’s “The Trolley Song,” made famous in the 1944 film “Meet Me in St. Louis,” was chosen by Souparnika for her performance. The show was well-received by the audience, but something happened that only happens on rare occasions.
Simon Cowell interrupted her performance midway through, as he frequently does. He told her that he didn’t like the song she had picked, but he wanted to watch her do something else instead.
His remark about the song reminding him of Judge David, should the man ever release a single, was well received by the crowd.
When your audition is halted by one of the most important judges, it can be nerve-wracking, but Souparnika managed to remain calm and composed throughout the process.
That’s why when he suggested that she sing “Never Enough” in its place, she gladly accepted his suggestion.
“The Greatest Showman” song, which everyone knows, would be a better fit for the girl’s voice, Simon thought. When it comes to matters like these, Souparnika completely blew everyone away.
Despite the fact that she hadn’t even practiced the song, she wowed the judges with her performance. We had a great time in round two!
She makes it look effortless, and you can sense that she’s performing with a lot of heart and soul in her voice.
Even the most difficult of the song’s high notes aren’t an issue for this skilled young musician.
