During a flash flood in Istanbul, Turkey, a road worker named Metin Keskin saved a drowning kitten and revived him with mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
When Keskin and his coworkers were sent to remove floodwaters, they came upon the kitten, he said. When he observed the tiny stray kitten being washed away by severe rains and on the verge of death, he ran to save her. She wasn’t moving, didn’t seem to be alive, and didn’t make a sound.
Keskin, on the other hand, refused to abandon the helpless infant. He knelt over her on the pavement and decided to perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation in the hopes of reviving the little kitty.
Keskin began compressing the cat’s chest and taking a few gentle breaths into her mouth. He also massaged her small body to assist her to expel the water from her lungs and gradually warmed her.
They cheered in joy and excitement after spotting a flicker of life after a few stressful minutes. The kitten gave out a feeble meow as he evacuated the water via his mouth.
Keskin took the cat to an animal hospital, where she was nursed back to health and was expected to recover completely. Keskin, on the other hand, did not see the cat again since he decided to adopt her and give her a forever home.
At a news appearance at the animal hospital, Keskin said, “She becomes our kitty today, and I’m really thrilled.”
