Voodoo, a rescued leopard who had a rough start in life, maybe seen at The Cedar Cove Tiger Park, a big cat sanctuary and instructional institution in Kansas.
Instead of living freely in his native habitat, he was enslaved for indefinite breeding reasons and sold on the black market for a high price. He was not only constantly imprisoned and bred, but he was also declawed. Such inhumanity!
Voodoo was rescued and cared for by the lovely folks at Cedar Cove Tiger Park. He’s even changed his name and has been with them since then.
Voodoo’s response to being touched by one of the keepers is shown below. Nobody believes he is a leopard because of his domestic cat-like reaction to the attention.
The history of Voodoo is just one example of how vicious some people can be. Fortunately, there are groups and individuals eager to fight for animal rights because animals, like humans, require love and freedom.
