Angel was a lovely family cat until she was abandoned by her family and forced to fend for herself on the streets. She couldn’t defend herself or look for food because she was deaf and had all four paws declawed.
Her family abandoned her because they needed to relocate and were unable to take her with them. They put her on the street and walked away, oblivious to her safety.
Thankfully, she was noticed by a volunteer from Almost Home Foundation, a local animal sanctuary in Schaumburg, Illinois, who rescued her from the streets.
She was curled up near the front door of her assumed prior house when the volunteer discovered her. She couldn’t feed since she couldn’t catch prey with her claws. She was discovered skinny and frail since no one was looking after her. She would have died on the streets if she hadn’t been rescued in time.
Angel began to heal fast after being given nourishment and placed in a loving and caring foster home. She is now in good health and is available for adoption. We hope she finds happiness and affection in her new home, where she will thrive as the only cat. Angel will never again be found walking the streets.
Animals just ask for one thing in return: unconditional affection. Please don’t abandon your pets!
