For many reasons, including cats riding bicycles, London is the center of the globe. Sigrid is the most famous cat in the UK capital. It’s a lovely fuzzy deaf cat of the Norwegian Forest breed, courtesy of her owner Travis Nelson, who has been touring the sites of London on a bicycle.
Travis didn’t want to leave Sigrid at home while he went on bike trips, so he put her in the box and carried her along. He claimed that it was natural and that she didn’t mind. The deaf cat adores the sights of the city and is always pleased when he gets to play with the bike.
For the past year and a half, Sigrid has been traveling all over London. She’s seen the Cambridge spires, Big Ben, and a variety of other sights. To be honest, she’s seen more of London than other cats have, and possibly more sections of London than other people.
Travis has been walking the cat on a leash since she was a kitten. Travis uses the harness for her walks to tether her to the bike, so she can go outside safely. To avoid forceful braking, he uses his pedals to manage it.
He only wants the cat to have a good time, and he doesn’t mind if the cat basket degrades the bike’s aerodynamic qualities.
Passers-by meet Sigrid, who enjoys watching birds fly. Nelson has been recording their adventures on Instagram and has 200,000 followers thanks to the kitty. Sigrid’s most recent excursion was to Regent Park with Ukrainian biker Khromazone, and their video raised funds for Ukrainian refugees.
