When it comes to going to the vet, no animal is happy. This is especially true for cats. They are not very fond of veterinarians, so their owners employ a variety of ways to keep them quiet. Samantha Smart picked up a new skill in the most adorable way conceivable.
Samantha’s family already owned a cat as a pet. They weren’t seeking another kitten, but when a stray named Ponyo emerged in their neighborhood, he won their hearts. The little kitten approached the family’s Florida residence, clearly seeking assistance.
After a battle, Samantha and her closest neighbors were able to capture him and decide to adopt him. He was far too adorable to be abandoned on the street. Samantha’s daughter gave Ponyo her best BFF – a toy dragon – to help with the transmission.
The next night, and every night after that, Ponyo slept alongside his new pal. It was time for him to be neutered after a while.
And how did the kitten behave on his first visit to the veterinarian? Of course, he brought his best friend’s dragon.
Ponyo and the dragon are inseparable, as everyone at the Operation Catnip shelter witnessed.
They made it a point to keep both of them together at all times. Everything went according to plan.
Samantha and her family feel the dragon played a significant influence on Ponyo’s health and happiness.
