The purr of this cat sounds like crickets chirping. This lovely boy took 7 long years to find his happy home.

Some of the most adorable purrs I’ve ever heard!

With a purr that sounds like a cricket, it’s hard to think Tribble, a lovely ginger and white cat, was returned to the shelter twice and didn’t find his final home for seven years.

Tribble is a loving cat who activates his turbo-powered purr motor as soon as his owners enter the room.

When Kimm and her husband got him, he was already 7 years old, and he came with another cat, a tortie named Turtle. “They genuinely chose us,” Kimm said of the Shokoshow.

“He spent three years in the first house before his owner passed away. Before being adopted by a family with four small children, he was returned to the shelter for a few months. They harassed him for three years or so, which he despised. He retaliated, which irritated his mother. He was returned to him once more.

One of the conditions of our adoption was that he would go to a quiet family. Tribble was the shelter’s most popular cat. He has a cricket-like chirp and is extremely friendly. He was also the ‘test cat’ when new dogs were introduced to the shelter. They were termed cat-friendly if Tribble approved of them.”
