Meatball, a chubby father cat with four kittens, needs some help with manners. Meatball has only been a father for a short time, and ever since his kittens started eating solid food, he has eaten it all by himself, leaving almost nothing for the cuties. This went on for a few days, and the people noticed Meatball becoming larger and the kittens becoming paler.
Meatball and his mate Mochi live in Hong Kong with their two humans, Koon Wah and Daphine, and their three kittens.
So, in keeping with Meatball’s fitness secret, the tiny kitten started following in her father’s footsteps after watching him do it. When humans discovered what was going on, they came up with a clever solution.
“During meal times, Koon Wah built partitions to separate them,” Daphnie told. “I sewed some cloth from some sake wine we got in Japan to the front of each barrier,” she explained.
“It has helped a little with separating them during feeding times, but Meatball and Pepper are still a touch overweight and the chubbier of the four cats in terms of weight control,” Daphnie added. Cats are intelligent creatures who have figured out how to navigate!
