After being beaten and painted green, a poor puppy was discovered in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
The green paint fumes made the stray sick and dizzy, and he had nothing to eat and no one to look after him.
Fortunately, Shazreen Othuman noticed him and decided to intervene to help the pups.
By blogging about the sad puppy on social media, Othuman aroused notice of his plight.
He hoped that once word got out about the terrible treatment he’d received, someone would intervene and provide him the aid he needed.
The stray’s story aroused a lot of emotion online, and animal rights activists in the area were upset.
The dog was rescued and brought off the streets, where he was cared for by a volunteer who bathed him and cleaned the paint.
The dog was fortunate to have received assistance in time, as the paint fumes may have been fatal.
If captured, the perpetrators of this horrific crime might face up to three years in prison, but they have yet to be identified or apprehended.
It’s only a matter of time before these people are brought to justice for their crimes.
We’re grateful and happy that the pup received the assistance he required, and we’re glad to know that there are people willing to aid animals in need.
