This is one of the most touching stories I’ve ever heard.
“I gave my new kitten Bear to my local cat rescue since his owner had too many cats,” she explained.
Jean’s heart just melted when she saw this cat’s sad, pitiful face at the shelter!
When he was at the shelter, the poor cat was apparently depressed and not very social.
This was his appearance at the time…
Jean knew in her heart that this sweet boy had chosen her, just like cats do. As afraid as he was, she was the one person for whom he would genuinely come out!
“I went back for a third time while he was still at the rescue”. “I’m getting used to being stroked.”
“Once he accepted strokes, he couldn’t get enough!”
He spent the majority of his first day in his new home with his new permanent human mom loving and snuggling with her as if he’d never been cuddled or caressed before!
What a sweetheart!
“Now he only uses that look when he needs more food,” Jean added, referring to the sad, depressed expression on his face when he was in the shelter.
