Hundreds of scientific research have demonstrated that keeping a pet can improve our health over time. Pets have been shown to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and even cut the risk of heart disease. These four-legged pals may make our lives happier and better, in addition to boosting our health.
The human-pet link, on the other hand, is not solely based on reciprocal advantages. Pets, too, require attention and care in order to remain healthy, happy, and safe. As a result, people are flocking to animal shelters to adopt dogs and provide them with a loving home.
Sarah, a pharmacy student, recently shared a sweet story about how she adopted her beloved cat. This narrative is made even more remarkable by the fact that she is adopted by this shelter cat. If you don’t trust me, read Sarah’s message down below.
Sarah went to a shelter in search of a companion. She met a lovely kitten named Jimmy Dean when she arrived at the shelter and fell in love with him right away. Sarah wrote about her experience on her blog, and she had no idea that it would become viral so quickly.
“So I went to a shelter today to look at some cats, and there was a little skinny cat named Jimmy Dean (like the breakfast sandwiches) who was purring and sitting on my lap, and I asked the volunteer about the adoption process, and she explained it, and then said, “Hear that, Jimmy Dean, you might have a home for Christmas!”
They’ve been together for a year and are completely inseparable. Sarah, Jimmy Dean’s owner, added, “He’s a smelly little jerk, but I adore him with all my heart.”
