A cold, wet kitten, maybe 5 or 6 weeks old, was discovered in front of a closed pet store last week.
When Margie Morris, president of Project Purr Animal Rescue, a local cat refuge and adoption center, came out of the building to get her coffee in her car, she noticed this kitten.
Morris claims she heard a little meow but thought it was her imagination. She stepped inside, though, and informed another volunteer about the tiny meow outside. The volunteers set out on a search mission.
They looked on the pavement and even in the trash can for the source of the meowing, but they couldn’t find it. They eventually came across the Pampers box in front of the pet store. They discovered a helpless kitten inside the box and rushed him to the veterinarian.
The kitten is underweight and suffering from a slight case of ringworm. A fungal illness has also impacted his skin, fur, and nails. Fortunately, he is being cared for by Project Purr and will be available for adoption once he is healthy, neutered, and vaccinated.
Bing is a nice cat that is now very energetic and adorable.
Morris was shown footage from the pet store’s security cameras. A man strolled up to the closed pet business and placed the Pampers diaper box at the door, according to the video. He quickly went away after that.
Bing was rescued and given a loving home thanks to Project Purr Animal Rescue.
