The Sumatran tiger is one of the world’s most critically endangered animals. There were only about 679 tigers surviving in 2008. On the Sunda Islands, the Sumatran tiger is the only surviving tiger species.
Unfortunately, the Sumatran tiger’s cousin species, the Bali and Javan tigers, have already become extinct.
Carers at Australia Zoo, on the other hand, are working hard to ensure that the Sumatran population does not become extinct. Kaitlyn the Sumatran tiger is cared for by a dedicated team of professionals at Australia Zoo. The best part is that she’s pregnant with twins!
Her pedigree can be traced all the way back to the wild, making her offspring the most genetically valuable tigers ever born at the zoo.
Because Kaitlyn is a first-time mother, zookeepers are keeping a close check on her to ensure that everything goes according to plan.
When she gives birth, however, the first kid comes out effortlessly, but there are signs of distress. The infant isn’t taking a breath… Kaitlyn, on the other hand, knows exactly what to do.
A vast team of zookeepers and veterinarians are patiently waiting to see if everything is in order. However, the baby is having difficulty breathing. The difficult breaths continue as the minutes pass, but Kaitlyn keeps kissing her young to try to help her out.
Kaitlyn, on the other hand, is a professional and a supermom as she helps her infant. When the baby starts making small sounds and squeals, all the zookeepers know that everything is going to be well.
All is okay after approximately 10 minutes, then her second twin emerges kicking and screaming, as though timed to perfection!
