Two garbage workers were out performing their daily rounds of the area, emptying trash cans. They were startled to hear a piercing yet faint mew. It came from the rubbish heap – inside the vehicle! Nothing was visible to the two.
How did a kitty get in there, both scratching their hands? Is it possible that it was dumped? They decided to give it a shot nevertheless in the hopes of saving it. They began by cleaning out the truck’s corners, but there was still no kitten.
They needed the help of a third coworker to find the buried kitten because two wasn’t enough. The 5-ton mountain of trash was navigated with a shovel and a broom.
It took them 30 minutes to save the kitty, and it was a group effort!
The three then drove the kitten to a neighboring animal shelter for a bath and a good lunch.
The kitten gradually regained its strength and health, and due to the three brave garbagemen, it is now in good hands!
One of the shelter’s employees immediately adopted the kitten, and he is now happily living with his new owner in his forever home.
