Officer Marcus Montgomery first saw the dog when he visited the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society shelter in Florida to deal with an employee issue.
Montgomery’s heart was instantaneously stolen by the tiny puppy the moment he saw him.
Montgomery saw Vader’s need for a younger sibling. Vader is a four-year-old Pit Bull Terrier that he adopted from the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society. As a result, the cop couldn’t resist the puppy and decided to adopt him.
Officer Montgomery posted on Imgur, “She gives me this ‘little guy, chill, no whining, no barking, just chill.” The puppy and nine other puppies were abandoned in a box and left behind at the shelter overnight, according to shelter staff.
Fortunately, the employees discovered them and brought them in.
After meeting with the staff to learn more about the dog’s care, he told his girlfriend about it, and she fell in love with the pup right away. They chose the name Kylo for him and decided to adopt him into their family.
We’re relieved to learn that Kylo has finally received the forever home he deserves.
Officer Montgomery hopes that Kylo’s tale will inspire others to adopt abandoned pets from shelters.
