However, today’s story will demonstrate that they are truly unselfish creatures that will go to any length to serve others
This is the story of Latana Chai, a California mother who was recently affected by a tragic event. When she was at home with her 7-month-old daughter Masailah and her dog Sasha, the worst happened. On Saturday night, at midnight, Latana heard Sasha barking and scratching at the rear door.
She sensed something wasn’t quite right. As a result, she opened the door to see what the dog was howling at outside and saw the neighbor’s house was on fire. The fire was rapidly spreading to Latana’s home, and Sasha was doing everything she could to alert everyone before it was too late.
“I heard a big bang and thought to myself, ‘What’s going on?’ Sasha was crying and jumping at the door, which I heard. “She ran in and started barking as soon as I came to the door,” Latana recalled.
Latana dashed upstairs for Masailah and was taken aback when she saw the family pit dog bite into Masailah’s diaper and yank her out of harm’s way. It was owing to Sasha that she was finally able to safely escort everyone outdoors.
It’s highly probable that both houses would have gone up in flames and the family would have perished in the house fire if it hadn’t been for Sasha’s warning.
