The cat island in Japan tweeted to ask for food help and soon after deteled the message… Here’s why…

Aoshima, popularly known as Cat Island, is a small, secluded island in southern Japan’s Ehime Prefecture where cats outnumber humans 6 to 1.

The food delivery service was recently halted owing to inclement weather.

Residents on the island turned to the Internet for assistance in keeping the cats from going hungry.

“Please send cat food to Aoshima,” a cat carer tweeted. “On Aoshima, there are no stores where you can buy food.

People in this area get their supplies by taking a boat to the mainland. In the winter, however, it is quite windy, and boat service is frequently interrupted.”

The island was flooded with donations a few days later. The following Tweet says, “Please cease bringing supplies (cat food) to Aoshima.”

“We got a lot more than we expected, and we don’t have any more storage space.” Until April, we’ll be fine.

Thank you so much to everyone.” Feel the Internet’s and its netizens’ power!
