Because he couldn’t locate food on his own, a blind raccoon frequently came into Eryn’s backyard to scrounge for food. Strong winds, birds, snow, and tall grass were also frightening to him. As a result, since 2009, the house owner has fed him practically every morning.
He normally arrived for breakfast (from 6 to 9 a.m.), then returned to the forest to play and relax.
“During the day, his eyes gleamed bright green. “He was mostly blind, walked into things, and was terrified of the wind, tall grass, birds, and snow,” Eryn explained.
He came for his daily food supply in 2014 and brought two black kittens with him. The kittens adopted the raccoon as a friend and began following him around. The kittens turned out to be stray and in need of sustenance. As a result, the raccoon led them to Enry’s backyard, where they were able to share meals.
Eryn initially assumed the kittens followed the blind raccoon because they knew Eryn would feed them. The kittens, on the other hand, appeared to be protecting the raccoon as if they were his personal bodyguards. Every day, they gathered for some free meal before returning to the wilderness.
Unfortunately, the raccoon died in 2015. Because the kittens were heartbroken at the loss of their best buddies, Eryn decided to adopt them and provide them with a home.
The blind raccoon assisted the kittens in finding a loving home, and they now live happily with another feline friend, Squirt. We sometimes wonder if they remember Mr. Racoon from their kittenhood…
This story is proof that friendship has no bounds, and nothing beats a lovely friendship between two different creatures, a blind raccoon and a pair of kittens.
This was a fantastic story; it’s unfortunate that the blind raccoon died, but at least he had pals.
