Nicole Böhm rescued two kittens, Elli and her sibling Rosie, from a farm in Germany two years ago. Nicole discovered the kittens when they were little, covered with mites, and infected. She made the decision to adopt the siblings at that time and brought them both home.
Böhm spotted something odd on Elli’s coat one day and couldn’t figure out why, so she took her to the doctor.
Elli was later diagnosed with vitiligo, an uncommon disorder characterized by the loss of pigment in the skin and fur, resulting in a change in color.
In 2017, she started getting white blotches, and by 2018, she was almost totally white. She had white fur with gorgeous black markings around her eyes and ears when she shifted. Elli has changed dramatically in the last two years.
Elli’s lovely nature remained constant despite her tremendous changes in looks. Elli’s unique appearance only adds to her charm, and the most important thing is that she is well and happy.
“Her personality is the same as it has always been.
“It makes no difference to her,” Böhm stated. “She’s just as adorable, charming, and playful as she was on the first day.”
