Bruno, a gigantic potato-shaped cat who lives in a Morton Grove animal shelter, has taken the internet by storm. Bruno came to the Illinois shelter Wright-Way Rescue in April after his previous owners brought him in because he didn’t get along with the family’s children. Bruno’s weight, according to the shelter’s staff, was a concern.
Bruno is a little overweight at 25 pounds, making it difficult for him to flee from children when he needed his privacy, but that doesn’t stop him from being the coolest cat around.
The cool, chubby cat is looking for a home through the Wright-Way Rescue. Bruno is a big, funny cat who only wants to be petted and petted. Bruno’s oddest trait is that he enjoys standing on his hind legs. He does it with the way he poses and the charming looks he makes while standing on his hind legs whenever he wants food.
Adoption applications have inundated Australia and Canada since his images went viral. He won’t be a shelter cat for much longer. Bruno would thrive in a home without small children, with a family who would help him stay active and playful so he can continue his weight-loss journey.
Lauren, a Chicago lady, wrote a song specifically for Bruno in which she expressed her wish to be his cat mom. She sent a letter of recommendation prepared by her supervisor to the shelter to increase her chances of being chosen. Wright Way Rescue is carefully reviewing them to ensure that this cool cat finds the perfect permanent home for him. Lauren, best of luck!
Lauren Paris, please accept my heartfelt congratulations! Bruno chose her to be his new mama on Monday, according to Wright-Way. Bruno will remain in Chicago, and we’ve heard he has a lovely apartment with spectacular views of the city.
