Trident the cat has a story to tell.
“He didn’t have a leg when he was born.” When we first discovered him, we assumed his leg had been bitten off by an animal. “We discovered there was no open wound or even a scar when we checked him,” Trident’s human explained.
Trident was discovered near the trailhead access for the Calico Tanks Trail in Red Rock Canyon, Nevada.
“We don’t know how long he was there, but he was too weak to walk or even crawl when he was discovered.”
They had no choice but to save him.
“We didn’t believe he’d make it through the night, yet here he is after 12 hours of treatment.”
“The vet can only estimate his age between 6 months and 4 years because of the plaque, gingivitis, and missing teeth.”
“When we play with him, he is ecstatic. He is a big fan of stringy toys. He likes to bite and tug on them. He has a one-of-a-kind personality.”
“When we’re watching TV, he likes to lay next to us. He likes to get up close and personal with us, resting his head on our shoulders whenever he can.”
“He is very affectionate towards us. He gives us the most amazing looks and licks us.”
