While seeing a heavily-bearded biker carrying a tiny kitten is an unusual sight, Pat Doody and his furry friend Party Cat are a match made in heaven.
They met serendipitously, as Doody was traveling from California to his home in New Jersey.
He was filling up at a truck stop in Nevada when he noticed the little guy in need of assistance–he was severely burned. Doody rescued Party Cat by tucking him into his vest and transporting him.
The remaining of their relationship is a matter of history. Despite the fact that Doody was thousands of miles from his destination, the calm, well-mannered Party Cat was content with the journey.
He nibbled on dry tuna throughout the ride, and his newfound human bandaged his wounds.
“Almost all of his burns have healed except for a small spot on his lip… It appears to be much improved and does not appear to be bothering him,” Doody explained.
Party Cat is now eating proper cat food and has seen a veterinarian, and Doody has gained an adorable, forever-loyal companion.
