A one-year-old Scottish Straight cat, Tora enjoys exploring the world with her owner, David Durst, and is a favorite of the traveling community. Tora’s favorite place to be is in the passenger seat of a truck as they travel across the United States.
Tora’s first outside activities were when she was just two months old, in the backyard. So far, she and her human have been to 43 different states in the United States, with all of their adventures documented on Tora The Trucker Cat’s Instagram profile, which has more than 14,000 followers.
David mentioned that it was tough for him to get a cat because the adoption organizations believed that a kitten shouldn’t be forced to live in a truck for an extended period of time. He was convinced that he would never be able to own a cat until a breeder emailed him a photo of Tora.
He realized at that moment that he had discovered what he had been looking for: a reliable travel companion with whom he could share his experiences.
“We adopted Tora when she was just eight weeks old, and we were on the road in three days. She was the boldest little kitten I’d ever seen, and she jumped into the back of the vehicle right away.
She adored staring out the window and taking in all of the different sights she encountered. “It was a perfect fit right away.”
“Tora enjoys getting out of the truck and exploring, especially in big towns,” David continued. Tora is always up for a new adventure, whether it’s in a large city or on a solitary forest walk. Tora’s litter box is located in the truck’s sleeper, and it is cleaned out twice a day by the driver. “This is by far the most often requested question we receive,” David remarked.
Tora’s admirers on social media continue to astound David, and he posts frequent updates on their trips on Tora’s Instagram account. He and his perfect partner Tora have decided to travel to the remaining five continental states by the end of this year to complete their journey.
