The internet is in tears after a user shared a sweet photo of his cat Little Andrew on his last trip to the vet’s office. The Russian blue cat, as seen in the photo, is gripping his owners’ hands, demonstrating how deep the attachment between a pet and its owner can be.
Bernhard, the owner, submitted the photo to Reddit with the caption: “Little Andrew was my junior.” He was 15 and a half years old and liked everyone, but during the last year, he had grown elderly and unwell.
He purred every day of his life, and I knew it was time when he stopped… On his last journey to the vet, he clutched our hands. Andrew was a lot stronger than his mother and me.
Bernhard had had the cat for fifteen and a half years, so we can all imagine how devastated he was when Andrew passed over the rainbow bridge. “He was a fantastic individual. He was constantly delighted to meet everyone, always won dog fights, and simply wanted you to be with him all the time. Bernhard explained, “He just got too weak to keep up.”
Bernhard received a lot of love, sorrow, and support from other internet users when he shared the photo about his pet’s death.
Others also shared their first and last images with their cherished feline companions.
“My very first and very last photograph using Mops. Mospy, I’ll always love you!”
Best friends forever!
Despite Andrew’s death, Bernhard is pleased that his memory will live on. “I’m just overjoyed that his tale has been continuing. He made me so happy, and I hope he continues to help other people feel good about their dogs,” he said.
Bernhard, please accept our heartfelt sympathy. Andrew, may you rest in peace!
