The St. Louis Cardinals added a new player to their roster on Wednesday, when an unexpected small animal jumped onto the field and took his place as the team’s new outfielder.
The cutest, tiniest kitten disrupted the Royals-Cardinals game in the sixth inning and immediately became the star of the show. The small one rushed around the field, greeting players and taking advantage of his newfound attention. However, a party-pooping member of the grounds crew immediately put a stop to it.
The kitten, on the other hand, got his vengeance! While the crew member was carrying the feisty feline off the field, the kitten bit him on the finger in a show of defiance, immediately establishing himself as our new hero.
The kitten turned out to be more of a good luck charm than an interruption, as the Cardinals rallied to win 8-5.
Is there a rally kitty on the way?
