When a black cat became caught in the snow one night, he found his hero. Platteville Police Department Officer Matt Frosein of Platteville, Wisconsin, noticed a loud meowing and decided to investigate. As he reached a ditch that had been buried under three feet of snow, the scream grew louder and louder. He discovered a black kitten with wide round eyes meowing anxiously for his rescue under the light of the full moon.
Platteville Police Department posted on Facebook, “Officer Froiseth traveled the ditch and spotted this little one stranded in the snow and rocks.” He crawled through the snow and yanked the pebbles out of the way, hoping to save the unfortunate feline from the freezing temperatures.
Once he had the cat, he took him to the car, where the cat quickly came onto his lap and snuggled with him for warmth, so he took the cat to the station with him.
Officer Froseith finally got into those huge round eyes and sticky paws. He gave him the name Donut and adopted him into his household. Platteville Police Department posted on Facebook, “Officer Froiseth traveled the ditch and spotted this little one stranded in the snow and rocks.”
