It is tough to say goodbye to your pets. For children, this is doubly true. People who believe their pets will live forever do not really comprehend the notion of loss. After losing her favorite cat, a five-year-old girl from the United Kingdom recently discovered the hard way that the opposite is true…
The poor girl was crushed. Nevaeh and her cat Tin Tin enjoyed a special bond. They were close friends and spent the whole days snuggling. Tin Tin died of heart failure, hurting Nevaeh’s heart. The girl couldn’t picture her life without the cat. Tin Tin, according to her parents, is now in cat paradise, and after learning of his “location”, she decided to send him a letter.
In the letter, she said how much she missed the cat and expressed her hope that he was doing well. As soon as Nevaeh’s mother Tamara saw it, she exclaimed, “Heaven is too far away for a letter to reach Tin Tin.” The girl, on the other hand, persisted, and the letter was mailed via a Royal Mail drop box.
No one anticipated to get a response, but it did, in an unexpected manner. A week later, the family got a package at their door, which turned out to be from the postman. He did his best to impersonate Tin Tin, and Nevaeh was relieved to find that the cat was doing well after all. It meant the world to her, and she couldn’t thank him enough.
It was a kind act on the part of the postman that helped to soothe the shattered heart of a little girl. Hope she soon finds a new fantastic buddy to share her life with.
