This is the breed for you if you want a new pet that looks like a cat but acts like a dog!
Due to its distinct appearance and behavior, a relatively new feline breed known as the Lykoi is beginning to attract the attention of cat and dog lovers. The Lykoi breed has only been established since 2010, and despite its feral appearance, it has a dog-like nature.
Because of its scruffiness, the cat’s appearance has been compared to that of a werewolf.
Johnny and Brittney Gobble are currently breeding the feline, ensuring that it is bred for health. The Gobbles, a husband and wife partnership, are one of three “foundation breeders” that began breeding near Vonore, Tennessee, in 2010.
The Lykoi is becoming more popular among people wishing for a one-of-a-kind feline. A natural mutation in a domestic shorthair has given the breed its distinctive appearance, giving the fur werewolf-like traits.
The Lykoi disposition is akin to that of a dog, according to John Gobble, since “they are incredibly loyal to their owners, very scent motivated, and quite bright.”
If socialization begins at an early age and is properly carried out, the breed is thought to be a great fit for any family. In the photographs below, you can see the Lykoi breed.
