The rescue of a tabby cat who had spent most of his life on the streets resulted in the discovery of love and happiness for the animal and his owner.
Lindsay, a cat rescuer and foster carer, stumbled upon this scraggly tomcat a little more than three years ago and decided to take him in.
“He was a member of an outdoor colony with which I was assisting with TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return), and he was very trap-savvy and difficult to capture,” Lindsay said to Love Meow.
Lynsey observed that he was sick one day and determined that she had to rescue him since he was in desperate need of care.
“When we eventually captured him, he nearly seemed to wander into the trap on his own own, as if begging us for help.”
Once he had been treated for his severe mange and ear infection at the veterinarian’s office, Lynsey was able to take him home.
She thought it would be a difficult road to get him acclimated to people since he was feral, but she came up with a brilliant concept that had him begging for hugs in no time.
