Laura the piglet and Marina the kitten met at the Santuario Igualdad Interespecie in Santiago, Chile.
Marina’s mother abandoned her due to her illness and pus-filled eyes. Marina would have died if no one assisted her. Thanks to a compassionate soul, she was saved and transported to the Chilean shelter.
Laura was born to be slaughtered because her mother is a breeder pig. Activists saved her from the slaughterhouse.
Laura entered the church shaking with anxiety.
Marina and Laura were rescued a few days apart. When Laura met Marina, she relaxed and calmed.
Marina the kitten and Laura the piglet’s bond has grown.
They embrace, kiss, and sleep close together. Even when one of them is napping, the other one is playing.
They find solace in each other and had the most improbable and wonderful of friendships, given their differences.
