The “Maine Coon” is a breed of cats that is distinguished by its size and appearance when compared to other domestic cats in the world. In North America, they are considered to be one of the earliest natural breeds, having been developed by cross-breeding between cats and raccoons. With its nickname “the gentle giant,” Maine coons are known for being friendly and outgoing despite their great size. When fully grown, they can weigh up to 8.2 kg and develop to a body length of 120 cm, making them nearly as large as a tiger cub in terms of size.
