Physicians saved his difficult life at the age of four months… Read on about his survival story below…

Lobstah the cat was born without a sternum, a malformed paw, and a twisted tail…but physicians saved his life at the age of four months.

He’s finally found his forever home!

Meet Lobstah!

Lobstah, a San Francisco rescue cat, was rescued as a kitten fighting for his life.

The kitten had stopped eating and drinking, was experiencing litter box issues, and was having problems breathing after being transferred to San Francisco Animal Care and Control.

He was then taken in by the SFSPCA, who informed him that Lobstah was close to death.

They located a specialist who, with the help of a team of specialists, performed life-saving surgery on the kitten, including repairing the hole in his diaphragm, “creating” a chest wall as best they could, and a variety of other treatments.

Lobstah recovered faster than anyone could have predicted, demonstrating his desire to life.

He was eating within 24 hours and walked out the door within a week.

The SFSPCA admired his bravery and thought he was ready for a loving home. Lobstah was given up for adoption.

After their beloved senior feline Velveteen passed away, John and Leda were looking for a new friend for their cat Lady Bunny.

“We couldn’t help but notice this little guy wearing the cone of shame and with a deformed right front paw,” John said. “The SFSPCA has a couple of kitten windows to the right in the main lobby, and we couldn’t help but notice this little guy wearing the cone of shame and with a deformed right front paw.”

“His name, Lobstah, drew our attention as well.”

John and Leda, it turned out, needed to be vetted. Lobstah was a special-needs cat, and the SPCA wouldn’t just let anyone walk away with him. They had to show that they were ready to give Lobstah the love and support he need.

“As soon as Leda saw him, she burst into tears. As we could see through the window, he was little and lovely, but his chest and tummy were one long suture. He appeared to be extremely vulnerable “John stated.

They fell in love and knew Lobstah was on his way back. They adopted him soon after!

Lobstah is overjoyed to have been taken in and couldn’t be happier.

He enjoys assisting his humans with their computers.

One of his favorite hobbies is napping in people’s laps. He’s such a sweetheart! Nobody expected Lobstah to overcome the odds, but he is proof that every life is valuable.
