One summer, while walking through a park on his way to work, Kawasaki Hina was unexpectedly followed by a small stray kitten. He assumed she was just being friendly at first, but the cat had other ideas.
Kawasaki’s feet would be chased by the cat, who would then stand on his shoes. He tried to travel in opposite directions to leave her behind, but the cat followed him. The stray kitty became enamored with Kawasaki, and she was tenacious and unyielding. She was a feline on a mission. It was clear that the stray cat was dead set on making Kawasaki her human. She had her heart set on Kawasaki and would not be deterred.
Kawasaki went home with her, amused and touched by the cat’s gesture, and decided to give the cat a lasting home. Vell-chan was her name, and once Kawaski brought her home, the cat snuggled up to him and seemed completely at ease in Kawasaki’s home, as if she knew she’d be staying there forever.
The kitty slept like a baby an hour later, and within a few days, she had taken over Kawasaki’s bed. It was a hilarious sight, and Kawasaki admits that he adores Vell-chan.
He considers this cat to be a member of his family. Vell-chan is satisfied and happy in her forever home, and she follows Kawasaki about wherever he goes. She still follows him around like she did the first time they met.
