When it comes to starting off in life, Marmalade the cat didn’t have the greatest of beginnings.
After being recognized as a “feral” rescue cat, he was adopted by a lady who lived on a farm and wanted some barnyard kittens to help keep the mice population under control.
However, he soon fled away from this life and placed himself beneath a caravan in a neighboring farm, where he survived by scavenging food, and he was soon in extremely bad condition.
A young girl who had taken a summer job on the farm discovered him in this condition.
As she explains, “I know it sounds cliche, but we found each other at a time when we were both in desperate need of each other. He was extremely fearful of people, and my coworkers predicted that I would never be able to get close to him. But day by day, I earned his trust, and we now have an incredible bond.”
As a result, it was revealed that the proprietors of the property did not care for cats, and they threatened her that if she did not take Marmalade with her when she left, they would harm him.
So she went ahead and did it! They are now in a happy relationship, and Marmalade is a very affectionate cat who has finally found his perfect family.
