While many people are uncaring, others are willing to travel to great lengths to find and help animals. They don’t think twice about putting their own life on the line in order to rescue some poor wild animals. The fast thinking and bravery of these two brothers made them heroes in the neighborhood, but they also saved the lives of hundreds of helpless animals.
Several states, including Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi, were hit by disastrous flash floods a few years ago as a consequence of a horrible hurricane. The harsh weather and almost 23 inches of rain not only caused thousands of humans to flee their homes, but they also placed many wild animals in extreme danger.
While everyone was fleeing nature’s wrath and the unfortunate animals were defenseless in the face of enormous floods, two gentle brothers decided to intervene. Frankie Williams, 26 at the time, and his brother got into their boat to save as many animals as they could. Several mice, opossums, armadillos, and rabbits were given a second shot at life as a result of their generosity.
Frankie told The Dodo, “My brother and I continued observing various animals make their way out of the flooded woods onto a meadow in front of our home.” “We had a small boat that we might use to investigate the flooded forests. We rescued numerous field mice, ground shrews, and rabbits while driving through flooded fields on our route to the woods.”
The floods continued to rise, and although creatures such as raccoons had a chance since they could readily move to higher ground, the situation for armadillos and opossums seemed to be terrible. As a result, Frankie and his brother dove across the flooded meadows, rescuing all of the creatures they could see. All in the name of animal protection!
