Take a look at these lovely ladies: Mogwai and Buddha are twins separated by only one eye!
A woman discovered the kittens in her garden and reported them to the authorities. She brought the kittens home, but she observed that they weren’t really growing and that their eyes hadn’t yet opened. She had no choice but to take them to the Inner City Strays rescue facility, where they were examined by veterinarians.
Mogwai was left blind, while Buddha was left with only one eye, as a result of the surgery to avoid infections. They didn’t allow their handicap hold them back, and Buddha is now serving as a seeing cat for his brother.
The twins stayed with the Inner City Strays for a year. They were happy, healthy, and ready for adoption by their first birthday. Fortunately, Buddha and Mogwai were adopted by a young couple who were looking for a special cat. Buddha took a little longer to adjust, but the cats settled in wonderfully in the end.
Buddha, like his twin brother, was initially nervous but ultimately relaxed and fell in love with his new home.
When Mogwai becomes disoriented, he reaches out for his brother, who comes to his aid. Mogwai once patted Buddha on the back because he was choking on a piece of plastic! They have a unique bond that is rarely observed in the animal kingdom.
The twins spend most of their time with their parents, either playing or napping.
